DERKSEN CO. SPONSORS THE 7TH ANNUAL OSHKOSH WOUNDED WARRIOR PROJECT BOCCE BALL TOURNAMENT
Once again, Derksen Co. is a proud supporter of the Wounded Warrior Project’s mission to serve those who have sacrificed in the service of our nation. The 7th Annual Oshkosh Wounded Warrior Bocce Ball Tournament in Oshkosh, WI takes place on August 25, 2019 on the lawn of the Paine Art Center and Gardens. Derksen Co. has been a supporter since the tournament began and has continued to help raise awareness and funding for veteran outreach.
THE WWP MISSION
The Wounded Warrior Project is dedicated to helping “veterans and service members who incurred a physical or mental injury, illness, or wound while serving in the military on or after September 11, 2001” (woundedwarriorproject.org). The WWP accomplishes this mission in a variety of ways. Providing support and training for members and caregivers alike, the Wounded Warrior Project tailors an approach to wellness that is individualized for the service member that receives it. In support of WWP’s mission, the organization provides a number of veteran-specific programs and services that focus on mental and physical wellness, personal independence, career counseling, and more.
7TH ANNUAL OSHKOSH WWP BOCCE BALL TOURNAMENT
For the 7th year in a row, Derksen Co. is proud to be an avid supporter of the Oshkosh WWP Bocce Ball Tournament. All proceeds from the tournament go to the WWP in support of its mission to serve those who have served this nation. As a co-host and sponsor, Derksen Co. is deeply committed to the continued success of the tournament. Held annually at the Paine Art Center and Gardens in Oshkosh, Wisconsin, the tournament features teams sponsored by local businesses that compete to win a trophy and the title of “Champions.” All are welcome to play and many vacancies on the teams are available for walk-ins. The tournament always features a lineup of stellar food vendors, drinks, and music from local musicians.

The Paine is a historic setting in Oshkosh, WI and is a perfect backdrop for the tournament. The spacious grounds allow for a number of courts to be set and the idyllic scenery makes spectating or participating wonderfully entertaining. This Sunday, August 25, 2019, come enjoy the Paine Art Center grounds and gardens and support a worthy cause.
